How It Works
No Subs Needed is exactly as it sounds.
We know schools put a lot of planning into Live Virtual or On-Site Training. We wanted to make that easier by developing two programs (with more to come) that address the training needs of schools and consider the hidden, extra costs of providing professional development to their teachers.
We figured that because Orton-Gillingham has such a hands-on component, why not let the teachers practice on their own students? This drives home the lessons and allows the Qualified OG instructor to see any mistakes in real time, ensuring that teachers are fully prepared to begin instruction immediately.
Segue Learning, Inc is the ONLY Orton Gillingham Provider to offer No Subs Needed Orton training. Our comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Training and Classroom Management and Lesson Recovery Training are the courses that are available to use with our No Subs Needed curriculum.
Here's How It Works

No Subs Needed Orton-Gillingham training is a 30-hour, comprehensive Orton-Gillingham Training.

Teachers will be provided with access to the online component of training prior to meeting with your Qualified Orton-Gillingham Trainer.

No Subs Needed is considered Hybrid training, with an online self-paced component and a live instruction component.

All participating teachers are provided with the curriculum materials and the list of lessons before meeting with your Qualified OG Instructor for Live Virtual or On-Site Training.

For a trainer to come to your school, there is a minimum requirement of 12 participants for On-Site training with Segue Learning, Inc. There is no minimum requirement for a trainer to provide Live Virtual Training.

What to Expect
Instruction over the two days of live training is fun. We consider the needs of your students and the needs of your teachers. We consider what your students are currently learning and poll admin and teachers on what they are currently instructing so that there is no learning loss.
We incorporate fun games and provide all students and teachers with certificates of completion.
