Literacy Systems Audit
Find the Gaps Before You Try to Fix Them
The Literacy Systems Audit provides school leadership with a focused review of literacy instruction, intervention, progress monitoring, and implementation practices. The audit is designed to identify schoolwide strengths, patterns, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. It is not an individual teacher evaluation.

Build the System and Get It Started
The 4-Week Reading Intervention Launch is designed for schools that need more than a written report but do not require a long-term consulting engagement. Over four weeks, OGI works with school leadership and the reading/intervention team to organize student needs, establish intervention priorities, train staff, and launch a clearer intervention process.
During the 4 Weeks, Support May Include:

Move From Implementation to Student-Response Decisions
The 8-Week Literacy Improvement Partnership provides deeper implementation and data support. This option is designed for schools that want to establish or strengthen their intervention system and then examine how students and intervention groups are responding. The additional time allows school teams to move beyond planning and begin making informed instructional adjustments based on actual implementation and progress data.
The 8-Week Partnership Includes:
- Literacy instruction and implementation review (phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, encoding, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, explicit instruction, differentiation)
- Leadership findings debrief and written implementation findings
- Priority areas, instructional and intervention recommendations, short-term action plan
- Review of Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention groups
- Identification of specific instructional targets and students by skill deficit
- Severity and urgency review; identification of students at risk of continued academic decline
- Baseline data, goal setting, and progress-monitoring schedules
- Appropriate measures for targeted skills and intervention decision rules
- Biweekly progress/data reviews and review of student and intervention-group response
- Regrouping recommendations and review of frequency, group size, intensity, and instructional targets

The 12-Week Literacy Implementation Partnership is our most comprehensive school-level implementation option. It is designed for schools that need enough time not only to establish an intervention system, but to implement it, examine multiple cycles of student response, make instructional adjustments, strengthen staff implementation, and build a sustainable process.
Why 12 Weeks? Twelve weeks provides time to ask a more important question: Is the system producing meaningful progress—and what should we change when it is not?
The 12-Week Partnership May Include:
